Sekhem Reiki & the 4 Elements
Sekhem Reiki is primarily sourced from the Egyptian Goddess Sekhmet, and has been practiced for over 2,500 years, originating in the Egyptian Mystery Schools. Sekhem Reiki is a high-vibrational healing energy system with all-encompassing power and completeness that, in our experience, some other systems do not seem to have. Goddess Sekhmet destroys all that does not serve the Light – doing so with compassion. Her energy is gentle, feminine and loving, assisting in cutting through blocks with fierce grace.
This form of Reiki also works with the 4 elements & utilizes the powers of Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit to help heal patients, opening their chakras and spiritually balancing them.
In Sekhem Reiki, we work with ancient symbols, chakras and the Luminous Energy Field, which align perfectly with Quantum Physics (a system that works with energy fields in the Universe). These techniques have been practiced in Egypt since the times of Pharaohs and there are many hieroglyphic paintings in ancient temples that reflect Egyptians practicing Reiki healing treatments.
Differences Between Usui Reiki & Sekhem Reiki
Sekhem Reiki, because it sources from the goddess Sekhmet, comes in very gently, softly and builds in intensity as the treatment continues. Effects have been known to last for well over 4-5 days.
In addition, Sekhem Reiki uses essential oils as part of one of its three protocols. The goddess Sekhmet is the goddess of essential oils.
Negative Energy Drain
Ancient Egyptian Sekhem Reiki also employs a unique “negative energy drain.” True to its name, the “negative energy drain” technique will help leach and eliminate negative energies from a patient during a Reiki healing session. This can be very effective for patients that are emotionally distressed or are going through serious life changes such as the death of a close friend or family member, divorce or the abrupt termination of employment. Many patients who are going through trying emotional times seek out Ancient Egyptian Sekhem Reiki as a way to help cope with the negative energy surrounding them. Draining the negative energy from a patient helps clear chakras and makes the patient more receptive to positive energy.
Ancient Egyptian Reiki is most effective when performed regularly, and the “negative energy drain” techniques are most helpful when utilized continuously as the patient moves through his or her negative situation.
Many Usui Reiki practitioners have become attuned to Sekhem Reiki and approximately 90% of them say they never go back to Usui Reiki because the Sekhem Reiki vibration is so different. It also works from the bottom up, rather from top down, which Usui does. That means we are moving from the physical to the spiritual, rather than the other way around.
