One Cup of Ceremonial Cacao

We’ve been asked so many times after a cacao ceremony – but how do I make this when I get home?? Here’s a super easy & delicious recipe you can make at home for your personal ritual, or scale it and hold your own sacred gathering.

Please note that the amount called for in this recipe is an amount we have tested over the years to be a higher “dose” of cacao, which means that it is meant to induce a slightly altered state. If you are wishing to simply make a cup of cocoa for daily use, we recommend half of the amount below! ( :

Most important (at least in our eyes) set an intention for the spirit of the plant Cacao Theobroma (AKA chocolate) to be with you as you enjoy it. We have found her to be a light-hearted being who is power-full and humble.

Cacao Paste
Raw honey
Organic vanilla
himalayan or celtic salt

For one cup of ceremonial cocoa, you will use about 40 g of the paste.  (Note that if you purchase 1 lb of our cacao, you will have enough for 10 cups) For every 40 g of paste  you will add 3/4 a cup of water. Begin melting the paste and water on a stove over low heat. Continue stirring until melted. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 1 tablespoon of honey and a pinch of Himalayan salt. Blend this mixture in a vita mix blender or high speed blender for about 30 seconds. Set your intention and enjoy.
